We can't believe it's already a full year since Slowcore Records was started! The spark plug here was of course the release of the first Slowcore Compilation, at that time still on Doomcore Records, which quickly became one of the most successful and most listened to releases on that label. The Slowcore virus spread around the world and the compilation was posted all over the net and drew in many people who wanted to check out this new Slowcore sound!
As we started to truly believe in the Slowcore sound, and saw that there was a huge demand for more of it, the label was started.
And this was a fruitful path, too. 18 EPs, albums and compilations have been put out since then, by a huge variety of artists. All being defined by low tempo electronic sounds, but very diverse in their approaches; sometimes more leaning towards Techno, sometimes more towards Doomcore, Hardcore, Acid, or just being surreal noizes and similar far out stuff.

So, to celebrate the first year of Slowcore Records, here is a compilation with some of our favorite tracks from these releases, which, in our opinion, showcase the sound of the growing Slowcore movement very well!
As a bonus, a mix made up purely of Slowcore Techno tracks is included in the release.
