about

In Low Entropy's own words:
"2011-2013 were very strange years for me. Start of my Doomcore phase that lasts till now. I first focused on these very weird, minimalistic repetive tracks, with odd melodies and sometimes heavy bassdrums, fueled by sombre ideas and twisted feelings. Doomcore and Techno stripped to the bare minimum: synth pad, drum, percussion.
Beginning with 2014, my focus shifted a lot, with a renewed interest in more complex tracks which not only were sombre but had an influx of positive ideas too.

The 2011-2013 period resulted in tracks that I uploaded on the net for free now and then, usually outside of weblabels, in RAR archives or on Bandcamp; and I don't think many people listened or even liked those tracks, and they got lost in the internet blur quickly; and even I felt that I had moved on and did not care much about this music anymore.

But, revisiting these tracks, I realised they - and the sombre ideas attached to them - might still be interesting and possibly deserved a second look, so I submitted seven of them to Doomcore Records. The rest is history.

And does Doomcore rot teeth? Definitely - at least in a tongue of cheek way."

Later, the sub-labels Slowcore Records - for very low tempo Hardcore and Techno - and Omnicore Records - for all styles of music - were created. ... more
