about

If you are familiar with the hardcore underground you probaly heard of Low Entropy. An artist first known for his breakcore & experimental approach on hardcore from labels such as Widerstand & Praxis. He began in 1997 and stopped for a short period in 2004 till 2008. Later on he focussed more on doomcore & experimental hardcore. But after the start of the 4 year period a EP surfaced.
The Emerald Planet 12’’ on Black Monolith Records gave a sign of things to come. The most known track being track 1 of the EP. Which was rather strange compared to his other output at the time. It was also produced in the end of 2003 which was a bit prior to his pause. It starts of with a small yet punchy kickdrum. Some percussion starts to slowly creep in on top. Which progresses over time until it reaches it’s first climax. But before that you hear a vague voice saying ‘’hurtling through time and space at 65000 miles an hour’’. Shortly followed by a rising (PCP like) synth. If you know tracks like Miro’s blue Sun, Purple Moon you are most definitely will recognize what I mean. The more the track progresses the more percussion gets on. It keeps on adding and dissolving various percussion patterns and a new darker synthline gets put on for good measure. After that it replay’s itself and slowly but surely takes you to that dark place you want to be…
